No other words I can

think better to describe. Numb.

My body has gone numb,

numb to my emotions, my thoughts, this world.

Numb, a shell, numb.

Something deep hurts, my head,

it hurts, my eyes are wet.

My body is still numb.

Numb as I can no longer feel it,

feel the motion of my body.

Numb, my body has gone numb.

Numb to myself, I'm forced to float around

this empty hell I call my body.

Smile at the same faces,

exchange the same words,

numb, hear no sound.

I know they are talking, laughing,

conversing but I Hear Nothing.

So I move through blankly, numb,

numb in this body that I call mine.

I walk numb through this life.
