Mama, I changed

Why don't see?

Mama I made it.

But did you see?

Were you too blinded by

my mistakes?

That when I made it,

all you remembered were your cries.

My blood and tears

I shedded

To prove to you

That I could do it.

But my blood and tears

were no use,

as you could never see

You chose not to see.

This battle you made me lose

Was I ever ever going to win?

You know I want to make you proud

Proud of both your kins.

But mama you couldn't see,

Cuz all you had with you

Was your memories

You hold soo dearly.

You're still living in fear

that I hadn't changed my ways

Lay this down to rest mama

because I have changed.

My blood and tears

I shedded

To prove to you

That I could do it.

But my blood and tears

were no use,

as you could never see

You chose not to see.

Mama, I changed

I changed my ways.

But you were to blind to see,

blinded with your rage and anger.

Can I blame you?

No but mama I tried,

the more I tried, I cried.

The more I cried, I went and tried

But you didn't see.

You didn't see my sweat, fear or ambitions,

because you were blinded.

Blinded by the hurt I put you through

Through the Years I've learned,

learned to be better

Better woman, daughter, sister and lover.

I changed

But you chose to not see

Thinking I wouldn't.

My blood and tears

I shedded

To prove to you

That I could do it.

But my blood and tears

were no use,

as you could never see

You chose not to see.

But now I'm a better person, Mama.

I truly changed.

You taught me to be better

but you will never see,

because you chose to not see.

So this is my good bye letter,

because in my imperfect world,

I made it perfect just for me.

& that's all I can ask for Mama & I'm happy with it.

I'm older & wiser now Mama

& Because I changed,

because of you Mama,

I'm better.
