Love yourself

Love Yourself

These little lines and rolls

how I used to despise,

Was it my paranoia

in disguise?

That I couldn’t see

the love I had for myself,

the love I had to give.

Hidden beneath it all,

Was my little self

Holding onto my dear heart,

Praying that I wouldn’t rip it apart.

These bumps and lumps

when I twist and turn,

why did it then

seemed to be my biggest failure?

Was I blinded so

by my own self

That the love within

Turned to hate?

They say beauty is from within

But what if inside

The beauty, you speak of, is broken.

Broken, because the love it needs

Is buried soo deep

Behind the shackles and gates

That you locked up soo long ago,

but please, heed this at least.

Break down those gates

As they serve no purpose.

Love yourself,

Love your heart and your soul

And love the little person

Inside who loves you

More than you will ever know.

Let that person love you,

So you can truly love yourself.
