Dear my Future Little One,

Please heed these words,

Words of wisdom,

Wisdom I wish to share.

Keep in mind

You are everything you need to be,

You are strong, you are funny and you are loved.

Don’t let that bright personality

get dim by the darkness of our social norm.

Laugh as loud as you want,

The world will love you for it.

Don’t let this society tell you

Tell you that you’re not pretty.

My dear child, some people are cruel

But what they think is just that, their thoughts.

Those thoughts do not, should not and will not define you.

Love your body, don’t step on that scale

No use, you’re too young to be counting each bite

Too young to make each calorie you eat your enemy.

So heed this, love your body my little one.

Love it, it’s the only one we’re blessed with.

Don’t let these boys or girls mind you,

You weren’t born to appease others,

you are here because you were meant to be here

to do or be something great.

So my future little one,

Know you are in this world because you are loved

And you have a purpose

And you will find it.
