Tie Those Laces, this is the race,

this is what you were waiting for.

They don't know, this was it.

Look around, this may be their first.

Gun goes off! Push off Go! START RUNNING.

Legs feeling weak, you start passing them,

one by one, you realize they stopped.

Turn around, they are laughing & embracing,

embracing each other, their love.

You turn around, cant stop now.

You hear your name being called, you don't stop,

You can't.

You see faces, faces you recognize,

as you pass them, you turn your head but your legs dont stop

You scream "STOP", legs don't stop.

You realize you no longer have shoes on,

you are running barefoot, feet are bloody.

You scarem "STOP", tears pour down your face.

Please stop..you no longer recognize where you are.

The finish line is longer visible behind you,

They are gone, they are all gone.

It was their first, but this was it.

This was your life, you turn around and get yourself ready,
